ERGO Hestia Art Pavilion

ul. Franciszka Kostrzewskiego 1 (dial 131), Warsaw

On 12 September the autumn exhibition season will be inaugurated at the Art Pavilion. Hestia Artistic Journey Foundationinvites you to the exhibition by Kamila Model, a painter of the young generation from Gdańsk, entitled Lines. The finalist of the 11th edition of the competition will present her crayon abstractions inspired by nature.

The Art Pavilion is a venue which exhibits works by artists related to the Hestia Artistic Journey competition – laureates, finalists, as well as curators cooperating with the Foundation. It is also a creative space and a place of dialogue between art, business and the audience. The opening of the autumn exhibition season at the Pavilion will be marked by a solo exhibition of works by a young artist, Kamila Model.

Lines in Kamila Model’s works run through the painting’s surface in several layers. They are surrounded by colours in shades of varying intensity. In some spots the white of the background starts penetrating the abstract shapes, the colours are blurred, while lines and shapes become transparent. Shapes in the paintings travel between levels of intensity of shades. They are not always produced using clear lines, and they shape spaces for interpretation. Lines suggest shapes and divide colours, by ordering them and giving them the right expression.

The events organized by the Foundation are mainly aimed at promoting young artists and provoking encounters between artists and the audience. Therefore, the Art Pavilion also acts as an incubator for new collectors, by promoting the idea of collecting and investing in Polish modern art. The exhibitions are accompanied by sales, so every visitor who is enchanted by the exhibits has the opportunity to negotiate with the artist.  All the events are open, so everybody is welcome to spend a September afternoon in a nice atmosphere, while celebrating art.
