Annual Report “Cognition” 2018

Accustomed to everyday analysis, we tend to move within linear boundaries outlined by our senses. In search of the most in-depth information, we stick tightly to the learned procedures. In this constant truth-seeking, how often we are at the brink of the hazard of routine and how efficiently we avoid experiments. And yet development requires a trial by fire, it needs a test. It is an experiment, the untamed side of our nature that allows us to walk away from the logical query for a while and climb to the next levels of cognition. In 2017, Agnieszka Mastalerz, the winner of the Special Award in the 16. edition of the Hestia Artistic Journey competition decided to help the ERGO Hestia employees to look into the mirror of their desires and dreams to realise that there is no one-dimensional image of the so-called corporate person. The course of this performative action revealed the whole spectrum of shared values integral for the company. Thanks to the examined dreams it is easier to say who we are and who we aspire to be.
